Boys & Girls Club member at Pahokee Middle-Senior High School, Javen, won the NASCAR Media Shadowing Contest through Boys & Girls Clubs of America! As part of this experience, Javen traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to attend the Coca-Cola 600. He not only attended the race, but shadowed NASCAR’s media teams, participated in a hands-on skill-building workshop, and learned from industry pros! Javen even got to ride in a car on the track, met drivers, and created his own media project. We are so proud of Javen for representing Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County on a national level!
During his time in Charlotte, Javen immersed himself in the fast-paced world of motorsports media. He gained behind-the-scenes access to media production areas, helped cover real-time race content, and asked thoughtful questions that impressed the professionals he worked alongside. His passion for storytelling and curiosity about the sports industry truly shined.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allowed Javen to grow not only as a student, but as a future leader in the world of motorsports. His creativity and dedication exemplify the spirit of Boys & Girls Clubs, and his journey serves as an inspiration for other Club members chasing their dreams.
