President & CEO

Jaene Miranda

Jaene Miranda was appointed President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County in August of 2013. Prior to transitioning to non-profit management, Miranda’s career was in corporate marketing which included positions as Regional Marketing Manager for Miller Brewing Company, Director of Marketing for Kraft Bakery Company's Southeast and Vice President of Brand Marketing for Rexall Sundown. In 2006, she was named CEO of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce which, under her leadership, was merged with the Lake Worth Chamber of Commerce to become the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce.

Miranda believes our responsibility at Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County is to help young people create healthy and productive futures for themselves. She understands the importance of developing programs that can assist and encourage young people to persevere and become the next generation of engineers, teachers, artists, and service industry leaders. Her vision is to ensure that every child that walks through the doors of a Club is on track to graduate from high school on time with a plan for the future.  

A graduate of the University of Miami, Miranda is a resident of Wellington and has a son Michael and daughter Nicole.

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Kimberly Sovinski

Kimberly Sovinski, with over 30 years of experience in nonprofit work and a BS degree from Boston College, has a proven track record of creating nationally recognized programs in arts and education. She has successfully secured hundreds of millions of dollars in grant funding across various nonprofit sectors. During her time as a Program Officer for a private foundation, she gained valuable insights into grantmaking strategies, enhancing her program design skills.

In her current role as Chief of Resource Development & Programs, Ms. Sovinski oversees the grants team, supports the President and CEO in engaging with private philanthropists, and assists the Vice President of Programs in managing and delivering core programs. She played a pivotal role in designing and launching the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County's signature teen program, Career Bound, which led to a remarkable 500% increase in teen membership from 522 in 2016 to 2,590 in 2023. This program has also greatly contributed to the high school graduation and future readiness of countless Palm Beach County youth.

VICE PRESIDENT OF PHILANTHROPY

Mary O’Connor

In 1989, O’Connor joined Boys Club of the Palm Beaches as Assistant Director, becoming Florida's first female Executive Director in 1990. Over her 24-year tenure, she expanded the organization from 2 to 13 Clubhouses in underserved areas, raised over $20 million to replace deteriorating Clubs with modern facilities, and boosted youth membership from 700 to nearly 4,000, serving 6,300 annually. She also increased the budget from $650,000 to over $10 million. In 2013, O’Connor became National Vice President of Metro Services at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, serving the largest 100 Clubs nationwide. After retiring in 2020, she returned to Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County as Vice President of Philanthropy. O’Connor and her husband Tim, married for 47 years, have two children, Kevin and Katelyn, daughter-in-law Rachel, and three grandchildren: Charley, Quinn, and Sawyer.

CHIEF CLUB OPERATIONS OFFICER

Steven Cornette

Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Boys & Girls Clubs became Steven's home away from home. His journey began at age 8, following the death of his brother and, a year later, the suicide of his father. Steven found comfort, friendship, and inspiration at the Club. He had a strong desire to impact his community and pay it forward to the organization and community that invested in him. A former resident of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Steven graduated and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He has served in many roles throughout his Boys & Girls Club career, starting in Charlotte, North Carolina, and now leading Operations in one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs in the country. 

As the Vice President & COO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County's 20 locations, Steven has boundless energy for working hard to impact youth in the community. He believes in helping youth reach their limitless potential and empowering staff with opportunities, resources, and hope. With nearly 20 years with the Clubs, Steven is a professional who cares deeply about his staff.  

He is the proud father of a 10-year-old son, Kayson.

VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Erin Nicoloso

Erin, a Palm Beach Gardens native and Cardinal Newman High School graduate, earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing from Southern Methodist University. After returning to Palm Beach Gardens in 2009, she held roles such as Regional Marketing Manager at ShopCore Properties, Special Event and PR Director at The Gardens Mall, and Marketing & Events Coordinator at the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. Erin's active involvement in local nonprofits led to her recognition, raising over $56,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2014.

As Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, she oversees marketing execution and builds partnerships with local and corporate businesses to enhance Club experiences for children throughout Palm Beach County.

Erin, her husband Will, and their son Mason reside in Palm Beach Gardens, where they enjoy traveling and cheering for Mason in tackle football and travel soccer.

VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT & CORPORATE RELATIONS

Tim Tracy

Tim has lived in Palm Beach County most of his life and attended King’s Academy for middle and high school.  Earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from UCF with a focus on Marketing and Public Relations. Prior to joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, he was a Vice President at the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County for thirteen years overseeing the events department. 

Tim joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County in 2019 as Vice President of Development & Corporate Relations and manages the Development team that produces all of our fundraising events throughout the county for Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMS

Lotus Holem

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Lotus Holem's career has been marked by a deep commitment to helping at-risk families and children through her work with various agencies. She joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County in 2015 and has since taken on several leadership roles within the organization. As the former Director of Programming, she spearheaded the significant expansion of Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County's 21st Community Learning Centers, increasing them from 13 to 20 Clubs. Lotus's dedication to enhancing program quality has empowered our staff to seamlessly deliver high-quality programs across all our Clubs.

Chief Administrative & Financial Officer

Julie Hedden

Julie Hedden, Chief Administrative & Financial Officer leads multiple teams of dedicated professionals responsible for financial stewardship, human resources, and information technology of Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Julie has worked in the non-profit sector for over 30 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge in non-profit finance, operations, talent management and information technology.

Julie holds a Masters in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University and a BA with a major in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. While working on her Masters, Julie also took on the challenge to acquire her Florda CPA license with great success.
