Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County invited GL Homes executives to kick off its inaugural speakers series.

GL Homes hosted a dynamic conversation followed by a great Q&A session with Boys & Girls Clubs high school students from the Delray Beach and Boca Raton clubs in Delray Beach. GL Homes provided a casual dinner plus a few GL Homes goodies such as phone rechargers and reusable water bottles to the in-person attendees. The teens were most interested in speaking with GL Homes COO Marcie DePlaza, VP/Project Manager Jill Schimming Taddeo, Options Manager Sil Rivera and Senior Director of Community Relations Sarah Alsofrom about job opportunities and career advice.

Many more Boys & Girls Clubs teens participated online interacting with the guest speakers from various clubs throughout Palm Beach County.

GL Homes engineering scholarship recipient Kelvin Rolle, an aspiring civil engineer who will attend Florida A&M University this summer, joined the conversation online from the Florence DeGeorge Club in West Palm Beach.

At the end of the engaging event, GL Homes offered Kelvin Rolle an engineering internship with GL Homes in summer 2024, which Kelvin excitedly accepted.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County provide a world-class club experience that assures success is within reach, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
