Club member from Pahokee Middle-Senior High School, Giovani Mendez, had the incredible opportunity to showcase his innovative idea for accessibility at Future Ready- Celebrating Student Innovation at Florida Atlantic University.
Hosted by the Cox Science Center and Aquarium, this event allowed Giovani to present his creation, Sign Sync, which uses artificial intelligence to interpret gestures that are used to communicate through sign language. This inventive idea has the potential to fill gaps in communication across communities, and we cannot wait to see how Giovani brings this project to life!
More than just a changemaker, Giovani is also a recent Google intern and robotics team captain. We are so proud of Giovani for showcasing his leadership and creativity as he positively impacts the world around him!
