The 7th Annual “Cocktails for the Club” in Gulf Stream Raises a Record $284,789 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s Delray Beach Club

The seventh annual “Cocktails for the Club” hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County was held at the St. Andrews Club in Gulf Stream to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach.  Chaired by Laura Compton the event raised a record amount of $284,789.  The proceeds will go directly to funding the Delray Beach Club’s hunger relief efforts, workforce readiness program, and digital literacy.   

This year’s Cocktails for the Club featured a Safari Soiree theme with delicious food stations, signature themed cocktails, silent auction, fire dancers, acrobats, and great music.  The dynamic committee responsible for the success of this event included: Megan Dempsey, Kristin Douglass, Betsy Greene, Ashley Laporte, Katherine Malinosky, Lauren McCauley, Lisa Orthwein, Anne Randle, Courtney Redfearn, Jenny Streit, and Tierney Wilkins.  

“I was deeply honored to be able to chair this incredible event that puts a spotlight on the impressive generosity of the Gulf Stream community.  All the hard work that our extraordinary committee put into making this a night to remember was rewarded with a record-breaking amount that will make such a difference in the community,” said Laura Compton, Chair of the 7th Annual Cocktails for the Club.
