Seven Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County families awarded a $7,000 grant from the Mary Alice Fortin Foundation Inc. for the “Christmas in July” program received an additional $1,000 surprise grant from an anonymous donor. Every year, the anonymous foundation likes to add onto the “Christmas in July” funds to continue helping families in need throughout the year. The generous donation will allow families to use the grant to improve the lives of their children.

“The ‘Christmas in July’ grant meant the world to me, and this grant means just as much” said Snowie Pierce, a mother of seven from Smith & More Family Teen Center. “Thanks to this foundation I’ll be able to purchase items for my children that I wasn’t able to get for the holidays, and I’ll also be able to catch up on important finances. The pandemic has really impacted my family, and this is just the best way to start off the New Year.”
