Marjorie S. Fisher Club Members Participate in Take Stock in Children Program

Take stock in children

Marjorie S. Fisher Boys & Girls Club members are now part of the Take Stock in Children Program. This program provides access to individualized mentorship and targeted college readiness coaching, a comprehensive support system spanning the middle and high school years. Upon the program’s successful completion, each participating member will be awarded with a four-year Florida Prepaid College Scholarship. Brand new HP laptops were also given to each member.

The Take Stock in Children program was designed to be a simple yet transformative model for 100% low-income youth in grades 6-12 by combining a volunteer mentor, college readiness and coaching, and a Florida Prepaid Project STARS scholarship.

This all was made possible through a generous donation from the Max and Marjorie Fisher Foundation.
