Kids Helping Kids in Backpack Bonanza!

This GL Homes volunteer team ran like a well-oiled machine. In less than two hours, 1,000 backpacks were filled with essential school supplies for students in need.

What’s even more remarkable is that more than half of these volunteers were children themselves.

Kids helping kids was this year’s theme of the GL Homes and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County School Supplies Drive. This special project allowed for parents to teach their kids the importance of volunteering and helping other kids who may have less than they do.

GL Homes parents and their children, ranging in age from eight-years-old to seventeen-years-old, filled colorful backpacks with pencils, notebooks, rulers, glue stickers, crayons, highlighters and more.

As the presenting sponsor of the GL Homes and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County School Supplies Drive, GL Homes donated $20,000 in addition to hosting drives at its Apex at Avenir, Lotus Edge and Valencia Grand sales offices.
