Great Futures at John I. Leonard High School

Core academic subjects are taught by FDOE certified teachers, with support from ELL and ESE certified teachers as needed. Year-round tutoring, advising, and academic remediation are available to students. Our offerings include homework help, ELA and Math support, STEM projects, Cultural Arts, Life Skills and Resiliency activities, and recreational programs that promote social interaction and personal growth. We provide both academic and personal enrichment activities for three hours after school, ensuring members receive a well-rounded educational experience.

With funding from the FDOE, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s Great Futures 21st CCLC at John I Leonard High School supports the mission and priorities of the school, addresses the educational needs of students and families, provides programming that ensures Florida students are prepared for high demand jobs that support great futures and charts a course for Florida to be Number 1 in workforce education by 2030.

The Great Futures 21st CCLC program partners with schools and utilizes best-practices to:

Support on-time grade progression and high school graduation

Increase parent/guardian involvement

Bolster academic achievement

Increase college and career readiness

Engage students in service-learning

Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s Great Futures 21st Century Community Learning Center (GF21st CCLC) at John I Leonard High School serves students after school and during the summer. GF21st CCLC provides academic support and enrichment, tutoring, advising, service learning, and college/career readiness activities. Program components are delivered by Florida Department of Education certified teachers and youth development professionals. The overarching goal of GF21st CCLC is to help students reach their highest potential, academically prepared, workforce ready, and engaged in their communities.
