Boca West Children’s Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and volunteers from Boca West Country Club held the 12th annual Adopt a Family/Home for the Holidays Project on December 18 for 150 Club members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boca Raton and Delray Beach.

Each child received a $50 gift card to purchase clothing for themselves at Old Navy while volunteers helped to the children find other perfect items to purchase. Younger siblings received gift cards for $25 and teens not at the event received $50 gift cards to Old Navy.

After shopping, the Club members enjoyed a spectacular holiday brunch and party at Boca West Country Club where each child received a toy of their choice. Spiderman, Chase and Skye from Paw Patrol and Daisy Duck entertained the children during the breakfast.  Each child returned home with a toy from Santa and a food basket filled with a turkey, a ham, fresh vegetables and all the fixings for a holiday meal.

PBSO was the sponsor.  Deputy Lisa Brown was on hand to speak with the kids and to give out crayons and coloring books with the theme, “Don’t talk to a Stranger.”

Plans for the 13th annual event next holiday season are already underway!
