16th Annual Barefoot on the Beach ads a splash of neon with the addition of the new After Party

Nearly 400 guests celebrated the “unofficial close” to the Palm Beach social season as they turned out for the annual white party – Barefoot on the Beach at The Breakers Palm Beach. The event has become a staple on the society calendar and this year was no exception with co-chairs Susan Miller and Holly Weston on point to present a memorable evening. As guests arrived they received a spirited welcome from members of the Max M. Fisher Boys & Girls Club who tossed out party beads to the guests as they passed through the receiving line. Further on, they were presented with the evening’s signature drink – “Frose” and mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres. Following a sumptuous buffet dinner, guests were wowed with a surprise performance from Club member Keiyon Ivory who moved the crowd with his rendition of How Sweet It Is to Be Loved by You. Founding chairs, Reid Boren and Tom Quick shared the live auction duties, resulting in one of the most successful live auctions in the events history.

Celebrity Polo players come together and raise $275,000 for the Wellington Boys & Girls Club

The 4th annual ‘Great Futures Celebrity Polo Charity Cup & Brunch’ benefiting the Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club of Wellington took place on Sunday, March 12, 2017 and raised over $275,000 for Club programming. Leading the charge this year were co-chairmen Marc and Melissa Ganzi, Olexa Celine, and Vira Goldmann. Joining them as honorary chairs were Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras – Polo’s international ambassador and one of the most well-recognized players in the world as the face of Ralph Lauren; America’s Most Wanted/The Hunt TV host and child advocate, John Walsh; 5-goal polo star Brandon Phillips; Argentinian Polo Player Martin Pepa; and current Captain of the US Polo Team and Wellington resident, Nic Roldan.

The Winter Ball Dazzles with $1.3 Million Dollar Event

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s 36th Annual Gala, The Winter Ball which took place on Friday, February 3rd. Once again, the prestigious event hit record highs by raising over one point three million dollars to benefit the Club’s children. Leading the charge was this year’s chairman, Mrs. Rudolph W. Giuliani along with Honorary Chairmen Julie and Mike Connors, Hon. Danielle H. Moore, Pauline Pitt, and Thomas C. Quick. The evening proved to be one filled with continued excitement to the delight of guests with a surprise performance by the club children. Following dinner, Wellington Club members and twin sisters, Bibiana and Tatiana Montoya tugged at the heartstrings of over 350 guests, with their heartwarming speech. They shared with guests their experience at the Club and expressed gratitude to the Club staff and supporters. Honorary Chairman Tom Quick, kicked off the Call to the Heart portion of the evening raising an additional $160,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Wellington Community comes together to celebrate Boys & Girls Clubs “Passport to Paradise” in a star-studded event

The Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club hosted their 29th Annual Wellington Dinner Dance themed Passport to Paradise on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the International Polo Club Palm Beach. Leading the charge this year were returning Co-Chairs Georgina Bloomberg and Marley Goodman-Overman, Dr. Colette Brown-Graham, Dr. Daxa Patel, and Nicolette Goldfarb as Junior Chair. This year’s Dinner Dance also made its mark for the high profile list of guests in attendance which included Polo players Nic Roldan, Martin Pepa, Grant Ganzi, Jeff Hall, and Kris Kampsen; owner of Grand Champions Polo Club, Marc Ganzi; and Olympic Show Jumper Champion and daughter of rocker Bruce Springsteen, Jessica Springsteen.

The Boys And Girls Clubs Of Palm Beach County Receive Grant From The Charles Lafitte Foundation

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County are delighted to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Charles LaFitte Foundation (CLF). These funds will go towards supporting the continued operation and overall Mission of the thirteen Clubs throughout the County. Upon touring the Max M. Fisher Boys & Girls Club in Riviera Beach, the Charles Lafitte Foundation’s leadership quickly realized the intimate correlation with their own Mission. The Charles Lafitte Foundation (CLF) supports innovative and effective ways of helping people help themselves and others around them to achieve healthy, satisfying and enriched lives. The Foundation supports organizations working in four main areas: education, children’s advocacy, medical research & issues, and the arts.
