DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (December 10, 2014) – Boys & Girls Club in Delray Beach hosted the 12th Annual Holiday Trunk Show on December 1st, 2nd and 3rd at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, located at 1000 East Atlantic Avenue. The Holiday Trunk Show raised over $85,000 and will help support the programming for more than 400 children in the community who attend the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach.
Two hundred and thirty participants attended The Holiday Trunk Show Preview Party on December 1st and even more individuals stopped by the next two days for holiday shopping. The Holiday Trunk Show featured more than 30 specialty vendors and a variety of gift items, including original jewelry, fine accessories, home décor, holiday ornaments and decorations, toys, men’s and women’s clothing fashions and one-of-a-kind gifts for all ages.
This year’s sponsors included The Seagate Hotel & Spa, Lang Realty, Searcy, Denney, Scarola, Barnhart and Shipley PA and the Mark Gerretson Memorial Fishing Tournament. A special thank you also goes to Florida Atlantic’s University’s Women’s Vocal Arts Organization, who taught children from the Club three holiday songs that they performed at the Preview Party.
Co-chairpersons of the Holiday Trunk Show were Susan Mullin, Kari Shipley, Lynn Wilkins and Michele Ramirez. Proceeds from the Holiday Trunk Show will go towards the Boys & Girls Club in Delray Beach, located at: 1451 SW 7th St. The Club provides a safe, fun, and educational environment after school and during the summer. Children participate in a variety of programs in the arts; education and career development; sports, fitness and recreation; technology; character and leadership development; and health and life skills.
