Members from the Club at Pahokee Middle-Senior High School visited Lockheed Martin in Riviera Beach to explore the world of aerospace and defense through virtual reality and remotely operated vehicles! The members were inspired to build their own remotely operated vehicles, connecting the dots between their school’s robotics team and real-world applications of these skills.

At the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach, Ely Herman, a Duke University robotics major, led a virtual town hall with members ranging from 4th to 8th grade who have an interest in robotics and engineering. The session featured industry-ready expertise as Ely shared how skills learned through hobbies like robotics can be integrated into innovative real-world solutions! This interactive experience served as the perfect conclusion to the members’ six-week project where they used the engineering design process to create VEX robots.
