Six Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County have been named winners in the Southeast Regional ImageMakers Competition. Each year, Boys & Girls Clubs of America hosts a national art contest to “inspire creativity and skill development in photography, visual arts, and digital design.” Entrants compete within four age groups and 18 categories for the title of ImageMaker. This year six Palm Beach County Club members will now be entered into the nationwide competition.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s award-winning photography program is one of the strongest in the nation.  Last year Smith & Moore Family Teen Center member Ayanna G. was awarded the  ImageMakers Best in Show award, the top national honor. This year Ayanna is once again in the running for a national award with her photo “The Seed of Intention.”  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County photography program is headed by Cultural Arts Program Manager Casandra Tanenbaum and Professional Photographer and Skilled Enhancement Instructor Andrea Sarcos.
