Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s 3rd Annual Securing Our Future “A Night in Monte Carlo” themed soiree was a huge success generating $151,000, a 300% increase over the last in-person event benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton. Guests enjoyed dinner at The Addison of Boca Raton with music, a raffle, and silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the event supports Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton’s mental health social-emotional learning programs.

“We were honored to serve as event chairs,” said event Chair Terry Fedele. “Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton positively impacts hundreds of children and young adults in our community. The Club provides academic support, life-saving mental health counseling, and hunger relief initiatives to the most deserving children, young adults and their families in our community.”

As guests prepared for the live auction, Garvey Antoine, Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton’s 2021 Youth of the Year, took the stage to share his experiences as a Boca Raton Club member. He touched the hearts of many as he expressed how the Club’s support placed him on a successful path to attend college, secure a paid internship at a local law firm and continue to support his dream of becoming a future attorney.

Guests gave generously to help fund the Club’s social-emotional learning programs. In addition to specialized training given to all Boys & Girls Club employees, free mental health counseling is available to Club members and their parents after a spike in pandemic-related mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. The added cost for these extra but essential mental health programs is significant, with $55,000 needed annually to fund a Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator position at the Boca Raton Club.

“We are thrilled to have raised funds for the social-emotional programming at our Boca Club,” said President and CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County Jaene Miranda. “The support of our advisory board members, donors and friends was a huge factor in helping make this such a successful event by securing sponsorships and auction items.”

The Addison of Boca Raton provided a tropical ambiance with the soothing sound of cascading fountains, 100-year-old banyan trees and colorful landscape lighting as most of the event was held outside in the courtyard for added pandemic safeguards.

Platinum sponsors for the evening included Carmen & Juan Cocuy and The Harbor Financial Group at Morgan Stanley. Gold Sponsors included The Bohlman Family, New Water Capital and MGO.
Silver Sponsors included Cindy & Michael Goldfarb, Mike Murgatroy, Guaranteed Rate, MM & Associates, My Allie’s Place, Ovadia Law Group, D+M Palm Beach Group, a division of Property Quest Realty, Tesla MRI, Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman and Wynwood Management Services, Inc.
