Red Lobster Surprises Boys & Girls Clubs with $10,000 Donation

Thank You

Boca Raton, FL– Recently, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County received a $10,000 donation from Red Lobster. The donation was presented at Red Lobster’s annual Operations Leadership Conference in Boca Raton, along with a donation of school supplies to help support the organization’s mission of enabling youth to reach their full potential and achieve academic success.

“We are so thankful to receive this generous donation from Red Lobster which will help us continue to serve those young people who need us most in the Boca Raton community,” said Mary O’Connor, President & CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. “Not only does working with companies like Red Lobster foster greater community involvement, but it also helps secure more great futures for our youth.”

“Red Lobster is proud to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and I’m proud of our General Managers who brought school supplies from their teams across the country to donate to the youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County said Dave Pickens, president of Red Lobster. “We are committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and do business, and we commend Boys & Girls Clubs for helping young people forge a path to success. It is our pleasure to be associated with such an awesome organization!”

This donation was part of a larger initiative between the Darden Restaurants Foundation, the charitable arm of Darden Restaurants Inc., and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). Through this partnership, the Recipe for Success™ program was formed to help inspire Boys & Girls Club members to pursue their dreams and set ambitious goals by introducing them to the possibilities of postsecondary education. Darden continues to provide access to the tools and information Boys & Girls Club youth need to achieve a great future – including college-readiness workshops and more than $500,000 in college scholarships.
