We are proud to spotlight Michael Nys as Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s March Volunteer of the Month!
Mr. Mike has been volunteering at the Max M. Fisher Boys & Girls Club for over a year and works primarily with 5th grade Club members. He collaborates with certified teacher, Ms. Lamonica, on weekly programming covering everything from math and science to reading and storytelling. Mr. Mike is always excited to jump right in and encourage learning and confidence.
One of Mr. Mike’s favorite activities involved teaching members how to use a compass and explaining magnetic fields, introducing new and exciting science concepts. This opportunity promotes curiosity, giving members the confidence to discover and explore, as well as gain valuable skills.
