Delray Beach Club Members Participate in Boca West Children’s Foundation Ballstars Basketball Camp

During the week of June 26-June 30, Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County and Boca West Children’s Foundation partnered to host “Ballstars” Basketball Camp for Delray Beach Club members. Club members participated in games, skills training, and got to listen to Otis Birdsong and Micheal “Sugar” Ray Richardson speak about their basketball journey and how they got to where they are now. With the presence of basketball legends, the camp provided a unique opportunity for the Club members to develop their skills and passion for the sport. As the Club members learned various techniques and strategies from the pros themselves, they not only only improved their basketball skills but also developed valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Otis and Micheal created an environment of excitement and encouraged the members to dream big.

“We are so appreciative of Otis and Micheal for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit the Club and teach our members the ins and outs of basketball. It was such an exciting experience for our members to be able to learn from the basketball legends themselves,” said Grace Madden, Marketing Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. “A huge thank you to Boca West Children’s Foundation for making this happen!”
