In this strange period of history, it’s not uncommon to see what we used to enjoy in-person to be experienced virtually. That’s true with the amazing photographs taken by our Club members for the ImageMakers program. Florida Atlantic Univerisity proudly displayed the photographs at a campus gallery earlier this year, but now they’ve created a virtual gallery to showcase the children’s work.

“There is such a wide variety of images. The Club members focused on different categories such as portraits and nature. I was stunned to see the quality of their work, and in fact, it looks like the work of professional photographers. I was so impressed, we are using these photographs to decorate our new 13,000 square foot Smith & Moore Teen Center in Belle Glade,” said V.P. of Philanthropy Renee Booth.

The photographs were taken for the ImageMakers National Photography Contest. Club members from 8 Clubs participate to learn about photography and develop their creativity and cultural awareness through visual arts. The year-long program is managed by key Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County staff including  STEM Program Specialist Dennis Young and  Professional Photographer and Skilled Enrichment Instructor Andrea Sarcos.
