On Tuesday, May 16th, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation (CRSF) and Group 1001 proudly cut the ribbon on a new Youth Development Park in West Palm Beach, Florida, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with synthetic turf and provides an outdoor recreational space for West Palm Beach youth to learn, play, and grow.

The ribbon-cutting event featured guest speakers from CRSF, Group 1001, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Children from Boys & Girls Clubs participated in a sports clinic, led by Ripken Foundation staff and law enforcement mentors from the West Palm Beach Sherriff’s Office on the new field, marking the first time they were able to utilize the facility.

Chuck Brady, Executive Vice President of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, expressed his excitement about the new facility, saying, “We are thrilled to open this Youth Development Park in partnership with Group 1001 and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Our mission is to help underserved and distressed communities, and this facility provides a safe and fun place for kids to learn important life skills through sports and recreation.”
