Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County announces new chairman of the board of directors

Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County (BGCPBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert B. Dunkin, II as the new chairman of the board. Honorable Danielle H. Moore, who served in the role for the last two years, passed the gavel and will remain part of the board of directors.

“We have been so fortunate to have had Danielle lead our Board over the last two years,” reflected Jaene Miranda, president & CEO of BGCPBC. “We have grown significantly in our service to our community’s youngest members thanks to her guidance. We are delighted to have Bob in the position to keep our momentum moving in a positive direction.”

For more than five years, Dunkin has served on the BGCPBC board and has been an avid supporter of the organization. He has been instrumental in fostering corporate relationships, allowing Club members to gain new resources to be successful.

“Bob has been a key member of our volunteer Board by bringing a wealth of experience to the table,” stated Moore. “I am certain he will guide our organization to a sustainable future that will allow us to continue to provide a world class experience for the Club children for our next 50 years.”

Dunkin is a partner and regional managing director at Cresset in West Palm Beach, Fla. He currently serves as an executive board member for the Palm Beach Zoo, an advisory board member for the Lemieux Center for Public Policy at Palm Beach Atlantic University and a member of the vestry at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. In the past, Dunkin has served as chairman of several foundations.

Dunkin began his career as a chief investment officer for a private commercial real estate investment company in Dallas and served as chief financial officer, director, and owner of a privately held community bank in South Texas. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s with a concentration in finance and financial accounting.

Dunkin and his wife, Debbie, live in North Palm Beach with their two teenagers, Catherine and Cooper. In his free time he is an active outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, running and playing squash.
