Boca Raton Boys & Girls Club hosts Palm Beach County tournament

Boca Raton, FL – On Tuesday, June 21, 2016, the Boca Raton Boys & Girls Club hosted the Tower Hill Youth Soccer Tournament, a new youth soccer program in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Florida and Tower Hill Insurance. Tower Hill has committed to conducting tournaments and soccer clinics featuring professional athletes, at no cost to the players. Tower Hill will also donate soccer equipment to participating Boys & Girls Clubs, to help kids learn and enjoy the sport for years to come.

Youth soccer is increasingly popular, but many kids are not exposed to the sport and do not have the opportunity to participate. Tower Hill’s new program aims to introduce soccer to areas that may not currently offer it, giving kids a chance to learn and play the sport. Funded solely by Tower Hill, the program is designed to assist local clubs in establishing youth soccer programs for kids ages 6 to 12. Four club locations were selected to participate in the inaugural season: Palm Beach, Lee County, Jacksonville and Tampa.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boca Raton served as the host site for the Clubs located in Palm Beach County.  The event took place from 9:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. with 24 teams totaling over 100 players participating in a 3v3 Soccer Tournament. Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton won two divisions, the U10 and U 13 divisions. The U10 Divisional Winners were Club members Colin Dobbins, Josiah Grajales, Gabriel Hernandez and Adrian Moreira. U13 Divisional Winners were Club members Garvey Antoine, Daniel Dalmacy, Luc Dalmacy and Techner Guichar.

The top teams will be invited to Gainesville to participate in the Tower Hill Cup Soccer Championship.
