Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton Hits Jackpot with 5th Annual Casino Night

BOCA RATON, Fla. (November 3, 2014) – The Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton hosted  the 5th Annual Casino Night, on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Boca West Country Club. The annual gathering aids in raising money for the continuous reach of programmatic needs to more than 100 at-risk youth who attend the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton.

More than 170 guests tested their luck and joined the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton, raising over $61,000 for the Club. Supporters played their luck at numerous gaming tables provided by Prager Casino Productions of Fort Lauderdale, enjoyed a specialty martini featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka and were dazzled by over-the-top prizes from Lilly Pulitzer. The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated live auction which included a getaway to the Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo, a golf trip to Doonbeg, Ireland and the Ultimate Miami Experience, which included tickets to a Heat game, hotel stay, dinner and a 5 day Jaguar rental provided by Alpine Jaguar. Guests also had an opportunity to win fantastic prizes, bid on a glittering silent auction and enjoy cocktails, dinner and gourmet sweets.

Returning as Event Co-Chairman was Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton Unit Board President Zakir N. Odhwani, Senior Vice President at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and Kathryn Gillespie, Illustrated Properties Real Estate. “Advocating for an organization such as the Boys & Girls Club, which provides essential services to the community, is a tremendous way to give back to the community in which we live and work. Having the opportunity to serve as an event co-chairman for Casino Night is a great honor, and I hope to continue to grow this event and help the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton continue its good work in the community,” said Odhwani.

Joining the chairs in their efforts were auction chairwoman, Nancy Wilkinson and committee members: William Cappeller, Cristie Castaldi, Victor Concepcion, Damienne DeCristo, Joey del Valle, Victor Franco, Nicole Morrill, Bill & Elaine Morris, Christine Legris, Kristina Olsen, Jillian Percella, Stefanie Shelley, Kirsten Smith, Angela Trudel and Chris Tyrell.

This year’s sponsors include U.S. Trust, Merrill Lynch Cappeller-Marko Group, The GEO Group, Inc., Braman Motorcars, Palm Beach Illustrated, Ellis, Ged & Bodden PA, Pangea Group, XO Communications, Senada Adzem, MedExpress and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
