Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County teens took an exciting step toward becoming future-ready at the NEXTUP Skilled Trades Speed Networking & Career Connection Event at the Greenacres Community Center.
The event gave teens the opportunity to connect directly with professionals in the design, construction, and skilled trades industries while discovering the many career pathways available after high school. Through one-on-one speed networking, an interactive Q&A, and a construction project management presentation, Club members learned about apprenticeships, internships, industry certifications, and career opportunities that can turn their interests and skills into successful futures.
BGCPBC AmeriCorps volunteers supported teens throughout the experience, helping them engage with professionals, ask questions, and explore new possibilities for their futures.
Thank you to the NKBA Florida Treasure Coast Chapter, KBIS, the City of Greenacres, and participating industry professionals for investing their time, expertise, and encouragement in the next generation.
Experiences like NEXTUP are an important part of workforce readiness at BGCPBC, giving teens the exposure, connections, and opportunities they need to discover their potential, prepare for life after high school, and build a pathway toward a great future.
