BAREFOOT ON THE BEACH RAISES OVER $350,000

Proceeds Benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County

Palm Beach, Fla. (April 23, 2015) – Rain couldn’t keep over 450 guests away from the undisputed party of the year, the sold out Barefoot on the Beach benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Guests dressed to the nines in their white attire packed the Venetian Ballroom at The Breakers and were on their feet dancing all night long to Miami band, The Clique.

As guests arrived they were greeted by event chairmen Reid Boren, Tom Quick, Taylor Collins, Lauren Borman, Brooks Bishop, Keith Williams and Craig Gibson, Jr. and treated to BACARDI Hand Shaken Daiquiris. This signature drink was made with a simple mixture of BACARDÍ Rum, fresh lime juice and simple syrup are crafted into this timeless cocktail originally  created over a century ago at the Daiquiri Copper Mines near Santiago de Cuba.

DJ Adam Lipson got the crowd going as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and bid on a small, exclusive silent auction including two beach cruisers provided by Fitness By D-Zyne. The night continued on as Tom Quick took the stage and hosted a spectacular live auction that included a summer membership to the Ocean Club at the Breakers, dinner for 10 in home with a chef from the infamous Rao’s, an autographed Eric Clapton guitar and more.

Following the auction, guests packed the dance floor and continued dancing long into the night.

Barefoot on the Beach was fortunate to have Brooks Bishop as the Grand Benefactor and Gina Borman, Deutsche Bank, Suzanne & Ramsey Frank, David Lambert, Christine Nixon, John Reid and Mac & Jamie Zahringer as Bungalow Benefactors.

Table Benefactors included James Berwind & Kevin Clark, Connie Frankino, Judy & Jim Harpel, the Hartless Foundation, Mary Alice Fortin Foundation, the Quick Family, Burke & Susan Ross, Tire Kingdom Service Centers, Two Roads Development and the Willits Foundation.

The Donald A. Burns Foundations, Inc., Julie & Daniel Leever, Mary & Dan Stanton, Annabelle Garrett, Lou Hager, Kathy & Jim Holmes, Ashley & Mike Ramos and PNC Wealth Management served as Patron Benefactors.

Program Benefactors included Florida Power & Light Company, Linda & Terry Collier, US Trust, Ross W.W. Meltzer & Victor Manuel Figueredo, Christine & Stephen Schwarzman, Donald Scott, Taylor Family Foundation and Wittmann Builders.

Bacardi served as the Exclusive Spirits Sponsor for the 11th year in a row with Brooks Brothers serving as the Exclusive Fashion Sponsor.

Proceeds from Barefoot on the Beach supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, which offers 13 sites located in the County.  The Clubs provide services during non-school hours, as well as summer camp opportunities, to more than 6,000 boys and girls from ages 6 to 18.
