For the fourth year in a row, our partnership with Palm Beach Opera culminated in an unforgettable showcase of talent, creativity, and collaboration at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts!

Members from four Clubs across Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County participated in a months-long program where they created stories, characters, costumes, and song lyrics all set to the theme of “Adventures Around the World”. Not only did the participants express their creativity, but they also learned techniques in singing, dancing, and stage presence. These lessons go beyond the stage, exposing our members to the exciting world of live performance, while encouraging confidence, self-expression, and teamwork which are all skills they can carry with them into the future. Did you know that children who participate in performing arts are four-times more likely to be recognized academically and are more engaged in school? This is why partnerships like ours with Palm Beach Opera are essential to our youth’s development!

We are incredibly proud of the relationship we have built with Palm Beach Opera over the years and the positive impact it has had on each of the young people who have completed the program. Special shoutout to Palm Beach Opera Education Manager and Studio Director, Jennifer Wilson, for her unwavering dedication to this program and its participants. In collaboration with Cultural Arts Program Manager, Rachel Rosen, Jennifer spearheads and executes the curriculum and lessons for each Club throughout the Palm Beach Opera Program.
