Jerome Collins: Inspiring the Next Generation of Talent

Jerome Collins at MSF 1

Last week, teens at the Marjorie S. Fisher had the incredible opportunity to chat with recording artist, vocalist, and founding member of Straight No Chaser, Jerome Collins!

Jerome shared his story from aspiring young athlete to a career shift into performing arts, proving that our journeys are not always linear. In college, Jerome and his friends started an acapella group and posted a parody of “The 12 Days of Christmas” on YouTube which garnered millions of views. Due to this success, Jerome has been able to forge a career path in the entertainment industry, collaborating with artists such as Colbie Caillat, Stevie Wonder, and even Paul McCartney!

Club members from the Marjorie S. Fisher Club and Neil S. Hirsch Club, who remoted in for the event, had the opportunity to ask Jerome questions about his life and career. “Take time to really work on your craft,” said Jerome in response to what piece of advice he wishes he had received when he first started on his musical journey.

Jerome dazzled the Club members with an impromptu vocal performance! This inspired some members from the audience to share their talents with Jerome and the rest of the group, a truly powerful moment of connection.

We are so thankful to Jerome Collins for taking the time to share his experiences, talents, and knowledge with our Club members. We cannot wait to see Jerome back at the Clubs again soon!
