Ballen Isles Charities Foundation awarded Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County a capital grant to allow two Clubs to update their heating and cooling systems. Without the grant, the Florence De George and Max M Fisher Clubs would not be comfortable for Club members. Installing the new heating and cooling systems was not easy with electrical lines needing to be moved and cranes needed to put the new equipment in place. The grant totaled  $68,000.

“We are extremely grateful for the Ballen Isles Charities Foundation for the additional funds for these crucial capital improvement projects. As you know air conditioning is not a luxury but a requirement for South Florida. Now that the new equipment is installed, our Clubs are fully ready to help Club members succeed,” said Jaene Miranda, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County president & CEO.

The Ballen Isles Charities Foundation grant provided $18,000 for the Max M Fisher Club of Riviera Beach to install a new air conditioning and heating system. It also included a nearly $50,000 grant for Florence De Geroge Club of West Palm Beach to also install a new air conditioning and heating system.
