The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County proudly announced that the 2023 Great Futures Polo Day raised over $240K for its Neil S. Hirsch Boys & Girls Club of Wellington. The event held at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington featured world famous polo players Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras and Nic Roldan. The donations from this event will help fund summer camp for many Club members in the Wellington area.
“This incredible event was not only a tremendously fun and well-attended event, but the community support was simply astonishing. Special thanks go out to Dr. Laura DeLuca Hirsch and her commitment to seeing Neil’s vision and love for our inspiring Wellington campus and our Club kids. Plus, a giant thank you to Olexa Celine, the owner of Sebilion POLO, for her overwhelming generosity, support and enthusiasm. This impressive donation will benefit so many families in need of summer camp,” said Jaene Miranda, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
The event included a stunning buffet dinner and heavy bites by Michelin Star Chef Anthony Theocaropoulos at field side, a celebrity polo match between Figueras and Roldan, followed by a live auction hosted by Josh Cohen of ESPN. The chairpersons for the successful fundraiser were Melissa and Mark Ganzi and their committee members included: Jennifer Charlston, Linsey Desich, Tasha Sterling, Marta Weinstein, Luc Limbourg, Alessandro Albanese, Lidia Nagy, and Sandra Stella.
