FAU Football Team Visits Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton

Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton members experienced an unforgettable day on Monday, April 3, when the Florida Atlantic University Football team came to visit them. The team, along with Coach Tom Herman, a Boys & Girls Club alumna, kicked off the visit with “Power Hour”, where they helped the members with their homework. The players were enthusiastic and provided a fantastic learning environment for the members, making them excited to learn and complete their homework.

“This is a day our Club members will never forget,” said Grace Madden, Marketing Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. “It was evident that the players had genuine interest in engaging with our members and making them feel special. We cannot thank the players and Coach Herman enough for taking time out of their busy schedules to come to the Club!”

Following Power Hour, the real fun started! The members were able to bond with the players while playing an intense game of kickball. It was a thrilling experience for the members to play alongside the players and learn from college athletes. The players brought their upbeat energy and encouragement to the members during the game, and it is safe to say they had an incredible time playing together.
