Boca West Children’s Foundation Spreads Holiday Cheer for 13th Year

For the 13th year, Boca West Children’s Foundation has made our Club members’ holidays brighter. On December 17th, 150 Club members from Boys & Girls Clubs of Boca Raton and Delray Beach spent the morning shopping at Old Navy followed by a holiday celebration. Each child received a $50 gift card to purchase clothing for themselves at Old Navy while over 100 Boca West Children’s Foundation volunteers helped them find the perfect items to purchase. Teen and younger siblings of Club members also not at the event also received gift cards to Old Navy!

After shopping, the Club members enjoyed a holiday breakfast feast and celebration at Boca West Country Club. The members got to dance to music played by DJ Rob Parisi, see magic tricks performed by Magic Jack, and pick out a toy of their choice. PBSO was also in attendance and gave the children a short presentation on the importance of safety, and then did something very special by bringing in therapy dogs  to play with the children. Harvest baskets were also handed out, filled with turkey, ham, fresh vegetables, and all the fixings for a delicious holiday meal for the members and their families to take home.

“We are so thankful to Boca West Children’s Foundation and the 100 volunteers that continually help make our Boca Raton and Delray Beach Club members’ holidays special,” said Grace Madden, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County Marketing Manager. “It was truly magical seeing the excitement on our Club members’ faces throughout all the special events of the day.”
