PALM BEACH UNITES TO PACKAGE 100,000 HEALTHY MEALS FOR HUNGRY CHILDREN THROUGHOUT PBC

The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea, Palm Beach Day Academy, The Fellowship of Christians and Jews, the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County And Feeding Children Everywhere Partner To Create Palm Beach Cares

Palm Beach, FL (February 5, 2015) – The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea , Palm Beach Day Academy, the Fellowship of Christians and Jews, the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County, and Feeding Children Everywhere are partnering for the Palm Beach Unites Hunger Project this Sunday, February 8 at the Halmos Activity Center located on Palm Beach Day Academy’s upper campus at 241 Seaview Avenue in Palm Beach.

About 600 individuals including 266 families of Palm Beach Day Academy with children of all ages are participating and will be packing alongside children of the Boys and Girls Club. Over 100,000 healthy meals will be packed containing the essential nutrients needed for healthy development for hungry children who worry about where their next meal will come from. Items being packaged include: Lentils, rice, dehydrated vegetables, and more.

Volunteers will be working in shifts between 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. To sign up, volunteers can visit the website at:  FeedingChildrenEverywhere.com, click on upcoming events then go to Palm Beach Unites. Click on “volunteer” and sign up for one of three one-hour shifts.

On Monday, February 9, The Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County will be distributing approximately 3,500 meals to the Belle Glade Boys and Girls Club Teen Center.  Other meal recipients include six other Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach sites, the Food For The Poor, feeding programs at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda by the Sea, Glades Academy, and the backpack program at Palm Beach Day Academy.
