Job Title: Program Assistant

Location:  West Palm Beach

Supervisor: Club Director

Hours: Part-Time

School days: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Non-school days: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Job Description:

Assist with planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating activities within program areas (Sports, Fitness, Recreation, Cultural Arts, Character & Leadership, Social Recreation, Health & Life Skills). Cooperative, works well with & respects others, good team player, demonstrates both a “can do” & “what can we do for you” attitudes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising children, enforcing Boys & Girls Club rules, providing guidance and role modeling to members, assisting in daily care and maintenance of building, maintaining a clean and organized work area and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
  • Ability to enforce Boys & Girls Clubs rules and policies in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • CDL- Class B license a Plus

Job Title:              Family Liaison (Food Co-op Program)

Locations:           The Max M. Fisher Boys & Girls Club - Riviera Beach

Job Description:

In this position you will coordinate the delivery of the food co-op program by working with our Club youth, families, the community and the Program Coordinate to ensure the needs of the family are being met.  To identify member and family needs and evaluate, coordinate and ensure necessary services are provided.  You will be cooperative, work well with & respect others, good team player; demonstrates both a "can do" & “what can we do for you” attitudes.  This position requires skill in planning and organizing services; in maintaining records, in preparing written reports, and in maintaining effective working relationships with others. This position will be responsible for driving the vehicle to ensure delivery of items for the food co-op program to guarantee its success.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 1-2 years experience in working in the community with families
  • Experience working with youth and families
  • Experience in related field is required
  • Valid Florida license with safe driving record ~ CDL Class B is a plus!
  • Must be able to meet the insurance requirements to drive for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Location:             Belle Glade Teen Center

Supervisor:           Club Director                    

Hours:                  Full-Time

                               School days: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

                               Non-school days: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Job Description:

Responsible for the management of the front desk, record keeping and general correspondence of the Club.  Other responsibilities include registration of memberships, including collecting dues and issuing membership cards, maintaining current membership records for all members, including statistical information.  You will act as the information center for questions about the Club.  Answer telephones, take messages and provide a good public image for all who call.  Cooperative, works well & respects others, a good team player; demonstrates both a “can do” & “what can we do for you” attitudes.  You will maintain a clean and organized work area, be responsible for supervising children, enforcing Boys & Girls Club rules, provide guidance and role modeling to members, assist in the daily care and maintenance of the building and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·       High School diploma or GED

·       Experience working with children

·       Exceptional organizational & computer skills

·       Excellent customer service skills

·       Ability to enforce Boys & Girls Clubs rules and policies in a fair and equitable manner.
