Boca West Country Club
The Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton hit the jackpot with “Casino Royale” the 3rd Annual Casino Night, on Friday, October 12th at Boca West Country Club. Guests enjoyed a daring James Bond inspired evening that served up equal parts of shaken or stirred fun for all while raising more than $55,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boca Raton. Supporters played their lucky cards, sipped specialty Martini’s sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka , were dazzled by the Lady Luck jewel raffle sponsored by Tiffany & Co. all while enjoying sumptuous buffets, gourmet goodies and sweets prepared by the world-class chefs of Boca West County Club.
Chairing the event were Bill and Elaine Morris, as honorary chairmen, and Zak N. Odhwani, as event chairman. “This event has proved significant to furthering our Club program needs, and our ability to better serve the children of Boca. More than 60% of the children served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boca Raton come from homes with incomes of less than $29,999-- the need is great and this will have a positive impact on their futures.” said honorary chairmen and Club board member, Elaine Morris.
Joining the chairs in their efforts are committee members Dustin Bagdasarian, David Browne, William Cappeller, Kevin Carraher, Victor Conception, Damienne DeCristo, Jonathan Duerr, Rob Duffey, Victor Franco, Michael Kagdis, Briah Keller, Christine Legris, Randy Moller, Bill and Elaine Morris, Kirsten Smith, Erica Strimer, Angela Trudel, Chris Tyrell, and Nancy Wilkinson. The hard work of the committee member was evident that the amount raised was more than triple the previous year’s earnings.
This year’s sponsors include U.S. Trust, Jeff and Bonnie Abrams, Merrill Lynch Cappeller-Marko Group, Kevin Carraher, Paradise Bank, Tiffany & Co., Lila Photo, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Signature Consultants, LLC., Peak 10 Data Solutions, CNP Technologies, Pangea Business Solutions, The Isle Casino, Bullhorn, CDW Technologies. Arrigo Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat, AT&T, and Verizon Wireless. Proceeds from the Casino Night will go towards the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton, which is located at 300 Newcastle Street. The Club provides a safe haven for nearly 200 children ages 6-18 during non-school hours. The children participate in Club activities, which include computer training, job skills development, leadership workshops, homework assistance and tutoring, sports and fitness programs, fine arts and performing arts classes.
